Chat box

Heya guys.. on Fedx's old forum we had a chat box that was kinda like an instant messenger on the top of each page.. what would you think of that? i think it would be pretty nice to have.. and you sup? think you could pull that off if they like the idea?

Well I have opened a test forum from the same provider at forumotion.com

I do not see an option to embed html code (which is what the chatbox is written in) to a header or footer like we could with the conforums.com provider.
However as nice as it would be to have one on top I have settled with posting a chatbox under the introductions thread HERE

One reason why administration would want this is that visiting guests could access a chatbox on top as well making it easier to promote diplomacy.

One reason why it wouldn't be a good idea is that with everyone being able to access this chatbox on the main page during times of war or whatever, privileged information could possibly be exposed by carelessness through that means... thats why you would also want to keep a chatbox in a more restricted area for such sensitive discussions.

If any member of Admin would like to see a chatbox at the top and knows of an area the code could be posted to make the chatbox appear on the main page header or footer I would be happy to provide the code.

Exactly. It requires research, but research requires no laziness, so it's hard for me to do.

When I get some free time I play around with this stuff and see what I can do.
